The Trail Lite is a part of the Thermarest Trek & Travel lineup. These products are highly comfortable, and more durable and a bit heavier than the products of the Fast & Light lineup.

Using a self-inflating mattress is easy: arriving at camp, you unroll it and open the valve. As you take care of other camp related business, the foam will start to regain its composure, sucking in air as it does so. Finish things off by closing the valve, or by blowing in a lungful of air and then closing it.

Leaving camp you just open the valve and roll the air away.

When storing the pad at home, you definitely want to keep the pad open, with the valve open as well. If the pad is stored in its stuff sack, the foam will lose its spring and the pad won’t self-inflate any more.
