Katadyn Vario

Katadyn Vario - Made for camping, backpacking and travel, this water filter is a true all-rounder. As a part of the manufacturer’s Back Country series it is at its best for 1-2 users. When using the Vario filter you can choose to use either two or three of its filter elements. -puhdistinta käyttäessäsi voit valita pumppaatko veden kaikkien kolmen suodatinelementin läpi (suositeltavaa kun veden laatu on huonoa) vai vain kahden (nopeampi pumppaus).

• Three filter elements: fibre glass filter, ceramic prefilter and active carbon filter
• Two-directional pump: you are pushing water through the filter on both up and downstrokes
• With relatively clear water you can bypass the ceramic prefilter, thus reaching a higher filtering speed
• With murkier water it is highly advisable to also use the ceramic prefilter. Doing this will also lengthen the fibre glass filter’s life span
• Up to 2 liters of clean water per minute
• The bottom of the pump can be attached directly to a Nalgene bottle; alternatively you can use an exit hose (included)

Don’t allow your filter to freeze. Water expands as it freezes and may break the filter element.

Note! A water filter or purifier tablets cannot remove the toxins created by algae bloom, and therefore do not make water containing said toxins safe to drink.
