Karttakauppa Pyhä Luosto

Corresponds to the Karttakeskus map Pyhä Luosto, now published by Karttakauppa.

The revised map presents the fell ridge between Pyhätunturi and Luosto and its surroundings at a more accurate scale of 1:25,000 (1 cm on the map represents 250 m in the terrain). The map is printed on waterproof material. Our durable Finnish outdoor maps can be identified by the yellow marking on the cover, and they are packed in a cardboard box.

The outdoor map covers the Pyhätunturi and Luosto tourist centres and the surrounding Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The area has, among other things, an extensive network of ski trails and hiking routes suitable for day hikes. A few-night hike can be done on the approximately 45-kilometre Pyhä-Luosto hiking trail. Snowmobile tracks and canoeing routes are also marked on the map. The map now also features color codes and distances corresponding to the terrain signs for outdoor trails on all routes.

The map material is completely waterproof and can withstand almost unlimited folding, and it will not tear during normal map use. The properties are also maintained in frost and heat. The map feels pleasant to the touch and is lighter than printed on paper.

In addition to terrain information, the map also includes routes and other hiking services, as well as places to eat and stay. Ten attractions or experiences in the area have been added to the map, which are described in a few sentences in the margin of the map in Finnish and English. The margin of the map also contains information about the exception and the coordinates of all the huts in the area.
