Outdoor map Koli Ruunaa Patvinsuo Petkeljärvi 1:25 000 covers the most popular hiking areas in North Karelia. The double-sided map sheet contains maps of three national parks (Koli, Patvinsuo and Petkeljärvi) and the Ruunaa hiking area, all at the same scale of 1:25 000 (1 cm on the map is 250 m in the terrain). The map is printed on waterproof material. You can recognize our durable Finnish outdoor maps by the yellow marking on the cover, and they are packed in a cardboard box.

Koli is one of the most popular national parks in Finland in terms of visitor numbers. Koli is not only attractive for its stunning national landscape, but also for its good local hiking opportunities and the Herajärvi Circuit hiking trail.

Patvinsuo is a wilderness-like national park with old forests, vast bogs and sandy lakes. The area’s trail network is well suited for a few-day hike, and the hike can easily be continued south or north along the Karelian Tour routes.

Petkeljärvi is located right on the eastern border in Ilomantsi. The Kansallispuisto is known for its beautiful ridges, clear-water lakes and wartime fortifications. The park area is suitable for day hikes and the Taitajan taival trail heading north is suitable for longer hikes.

The Ruunaa hiking area and nature reserve in Lieksa is known for the free-flowing Lieksanjoki River, whose rapids offer experiences for fishermen, kayakers and tourists. Ruunaa also has several tens of kilometers of hiking trails and a network of ski trails.

The map material is completely waterproof and can withstand almost unlimited folding, and it does not tear easily during normal map use. The properties are maintained even in cold and hot weather. The map feels pleasant to the touch and is lighter than printed on paper.

In addition to terrain information, the map also includes routes and other hiking services, as well as places to eat and stay. Ten attractions or experiences in the area have been added to the map, which are described in a few sentences in Finnish and English in the margin of the map. The margin of the map also contains information about the exception.
