Sportier winter boots for men: a warm model that is easy to walk in.
Kamik takes its name from the caribou-hide winter boots of the northern Indigenous peoples (Inuit, Iñupiat, Yup’ik). The maker’s best-known models are heavy boots suited to activities like ice fishing, but the current range also includes models like the Iceland, designed more for walking.
The men’s Kamik Iceland works for active use from freezing temperatures downwards: the lower section is entirely made of fully waterproof rubber, the laces let you tighten the boots so they don’t shift around, and the shaft height combined with the cuffs of your winter trousers keeps snow out.
- Standard last
- Upper surface made of quality leather with a waterproof polyurethane treatment
- Lower section made of synthetic rubber
- Heat-MX 145 insulation
- Waterproof construction
- Non-absorbent fleece lining
- Shaft circumference at the top: 30 cm in size 9
Note! The maker’s “temperature rating” for these boots is as low as -40°C, but staying warm in those conditions depends on a great many factors. Don’t rely on the number blindly: test how well you, personally, keep warm in stages.
