The jacket is treated with beeswax. The wax treatment makes the surface water-repellent and quicker to dry, while also increasing the jacket’s durability. It’s a good idea to purchase a pack of Fjällräven Greenland Wax along with the jacket so you can reapply the treatment when needed.
