A double wide, packable three season pad.
With its 7 cm loft and synthetic insulation, the Ultra R3 is ready for comfortable nights in three season use. The fill helps prevent air from circulating between the parts warmed up by your body and parts in contact with outside air. With an R value of 2.9, this pad has an Exped lowest recommended temperature rating of -5ºC.
- Duo Long & Wide size, suitable for two hikers or one extremely restless sleeper: 197 x 130 cm, 103 at the foot
- Surface fabric: Oeko-Tex 100 certified 20 denier ripstop
- Insulated with 60g/m² Texpedloft
A Schnozzel pump bag is included to fill the pad without the need for blowing. Blowing would draw moisture into the pad and the use of a pump bag reduces fainting.
The three Exped sleeping pad product families, briefly described: Ultra: the lightest surface fabrics, small pack size. Versa: the basic model suitable for versatile use. Dura: reinforced bottom fabric for demanding conditions or frequent use. The number next to the letter R indicates insulation: it is the rounded R-value. 1: for summer use, 2–3: for three-season use, 4 and above: also suitable for winter use.
