Exceeded expectations. I wore it for about 8 hours in hot, harsh spring sun. Didn't need other protection for my ears and neck, and didn't feel too warm either compared to how this type of weather would have felt without the scarf on. Really does a good job wicking sweat and regulating body temperature. The black material itself may feel warm to the touch on the outside, but the inside remains nicely even and temperate.
