Thanks to Gore-Tex, the Black Diamond Mission MX mitts are permanently waterproof, and with their generously padded PrimaLoft Gold insulation they’re a reliable choice for use in freezing conditions: skiing, walks, winter trekking, etc.

This is a model introduced for the 2025/26 season – therefore the Gore-Tex membrane is the so-called ePE type, meaning it’s made from polyethylene. The product therefore contains no PTFE, which is a big step towards environmental friendliness!

Black Diamond recommends this product for temperatures between -12 and -31 ºC. When it comes to temperature limits, it’s worth approaching the extremes with caution: people’s tolerance to cold varies hugely depending on the person, situation and conditions.
