The Alpha SV Jacket has been part of Arc’teryx’s lineup since 1998. From the very beginning, it has been designed to perform in demanding conditions such as ice climbing and alpine and mountain environments. Like other products in the Alpha series, this jacket is lightweight yet extremely durable. The letters SV refer to the Severe Weather range, which is designed with prolonged harsh conditions in mind.
The spring 2026 model has received a few updates: the fabric is now robust 100-denier Gore-Tex Pro ePE, featuring an environmentally friendly membrane, and the product contains no PFAS compounds. A RECCO reflector has been added. Inside the jacket, there are now two open pockets and one small zippered pocket.
Underarm ventilation and adjustable cuffs, hem, and hood allow the jacket to be fine-tuned from highly breathable to fully sealed, depending on conditions.
