Arc'teryx Men's Atom Hoody

One of Arc’teryx’s best-known products, the Atom Hoody is an extremely versatile choice for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors. It’s comfortable on cool hiking trails, in the wind of fells and mountains, on cross-country ski tracks on freezing days, and while relaxing at camp. In extreme conditions, a roomy shell jacket can be worn over it — in this setup, the wind-resistant fabric allows you to ventilate the shell without creating cold spots.

Most of the jacket’s surface area is made from wind-resistant face fabric with lightweight synthetic insulation. The Coreloft insulation handles moisture better than down. The manufacturer uses the slogan “warm even when wet,” but we don’t recommend intentionally soaking this (or any) jacket.

The stretch fleece used at the sides is breathable enough to keep the jacket comfortable even when you’re sweating. Overall, the jacket is highly breathable.
