The Breckenridge shoes, made from high-quality leather, are a typical Xero Shoes product: they combine the look of regular footwear with a barefoot-style construction. The sole is actually very thin, with its edges slightly raised around the sides to give the impression of a conventional sole. In reality, the sole offers virtually no torsional rigidity or shock absorption—its main role is to protect the skin on the bottom of your foot, while allowing your foot muscles to do all the work.

The Breckenridge can be effortlessly paired with a variety of outfits, from jeans to different skirts and dresses.

Despite being made of leather, the Breckenridges are closer in weight to running shoes than to traditional ankle boots of the same height.
