In contrast to other wool types, alpaca wool is hollow. It transfers moisture, adjusts temperature and is light and pleasant to wear. It is also antibacterial, meaning in many situations simply airing your alpaca apparel is enough. Since alpaca wool does not contain lanolin, even people allergic to sheep’s wool can wear it. In addition, alpaca wool has a smoother structure, further increasing comfort and reducing the risk of itching.
