Unlike most hiking boots of this height, the Villrein Pro’s midsole is made of shock-absorbing EVA material. This means excellent shock absorption and, as a bonus, the midsole also withstands long periods of inactivity—polyurethane midsoles typically suffer from long-term storage.

The high shaft provides ankle support and ensures that when wearing rain pants, rainwater flows properly past the top of the boot.
