When you need a higher shaft but not the stiffness of mountaineering boots, the Viking Hunter GTX is the right choice. The Gore-Tex membrane inside the boot reaches high up the shaft, so wading depth is on a solid level.
Unlike hiking boots, the Viking Hunter GTX has a softer midsole made of EVA foam, rather than polyurethane.

To care for the leather parts of this boot, we recommend occasional treatment with Meindl Sportwax. Don’t use oils or similar products on boots with a Gore-Tex membrane, as they can clog or damage the membrane if they penetrate the leather.
