The story of Swix begins in 1946, when Norwegian skier Martin Matsbø and pharmacist Børje Gabrielsson set out to develop the world’s best ski wax with a group of chemists.
A few years and thousands of tests later, the first wax range was published, for all snow conditions. Swix also implemented a color code system that makes wax selection easier. Top skiers accepted the product range with open arms and enthusiasts quickly followed.
Over the years, the product selection has grown, and today there are not only waxes but also ski apparel with modern technical materials.
