Inventor William Stanley Jr brought the first steel thermos bottle out on the market in 1913 and its advantages were easy to see: there was little risk of the bottle breaking in any way, and it was able to keep your coffee or tea hot for a number of hours. The Stanley brand is very popular especially in the United States, and often ends up finishing in top rankings whenever thermos bottles are tested for their insulation, function and quality.
