The men’s Sorel Caribou Horizon GTX Winter boots are a solid choice when you need full protection from water and slush, plus insulation that copes with proper sub-zero temperatures, even when you’re standing or sitting still.
Compared with the original Caribou, this model is noticeably lighter and more comfortable to walk in. The lower section, which takes the brunt of the water and slush, is rubber. The upper is leather with a Gore-Tex ePE membrane on the inside. Unlike the original, the lining is fixed rather than removable. The Horizon is much less of an “ice fishing boot” than the original Caribou and better suited to days when you’re on the move.
The Caribou Horizon GTX is a dependable choice for everyday life in a hard winter and for winter hiking, either side of freezing!
