A thick 200 x 77 cm pad for camp use.
When moving with a car, canoe or other method where weight is not super important, you can invest in extra comfort. On the other hand, the Polarshield is packed to half, unlike many camping pads, which means that the packing size in itself is not overly massive even for backpackers.
The Polarshield 120 is 12 centimeters thick and its insulating capacity is sufficient for temperatures all the way down to -19ºC if necessary.
The “box-like” shape makes the most of the extreme dimensions of the pad.
- Outer fabric: 20 denier 390T polyamide with double ripstop construction, inside TPU lamination
- The insulation R-value is 5, which means that the pad is a safe choice for year-round
- The practical Peak Valve does not let air out during the filling phase
The product does not contain PFC.
It’s always wise to inflate an airpad with a pumpbag or the Robens 3-in1 pump - while it’s possible to inflate the pad by blowing, that ends up introducing surprising amounts of moisture in the pad, and getting it out is virtually impossible.
