A light weight down jacket like this works not only as additional insulation when you’re enjoying the great outdoors, but also as the topmost piece of apparel in everyday life. The parka model is a whole lot warmer than you’d expect of a light weight product. Covering the hip area and the top of your thighs makes for a big difference.

- The down is treated to repel water, which makes for fast drying and less loss in insulation when used in damp conditions
