Palladium was founded in 1920 in Lyon, France. Originally, Palladium manufactured airplane tires.

From Tires to Shoes

In 1947, after World War II, tire orders collapsed, and Palladium shifted its expertise to footwear manufacturing. The durability required for airplane tires, along with the skill of bonding canvas and rubber, resulted in shoes that were both flexible and tough.

The shoes were so comfortable and durable that even the French Foreign Legion adopted them. Today, Palladium shoes are worn for everyday adventures around the world.

Palladium Today

Palladium is a true classic with over 100 years of history. The iconic Pampa model, which has remained largely unchanged since 1947, is still produced with the same philosophy: for daily and demanding use. With various styles to choose from, these shoes also suit the Finnish urban landscape perfectly.

Palladium continually strives to improve its production processes and to use methods that minimize environmental impact. Many of the products are made with recycled materials—from uppers to waterproof membranes—and the canvas shoes are made from organic cotton.
