Norrøna’s founder, Jørgen Jørgensen, began developing durable gear and clothing for Norway’s demanding conditions in 1929. The first products were straps, backpacks, and cotton clothing. Norrøna later introduced the first tunnel tent designed for mountain use and the first European Gore-Tex jacket.

Four generations later, Norrøna remains family-owned, focusing on sustainable, long-lasting products as opposed to fast fashion. Their principle, “Loaded Minimalism,” ensures necessary features without excess, making products lightweight and simple to use.
