The men’s New Balance 880 is a familiar choice on running trails, but now there’s also the Walking 880, optimised for walking. The midsole structure has been modified so that it suits an avid walker better than a running shoe would. Since shoe weight isn’t quite as critical in walking use, the shoes also have plenty of hard-wearing rubber added to the outsole, something that’s often compromised on in running shoes.
