The founder’s principles
Cam Brensinger founded Nemo after spending years travelling to various destinations to pursue his passion for climbing. His trips taught him to appreciate the thrill of outdoor pursuits, but also their therapeutic effect, the connection with fellow enthusiasts, and a sense of meaning.
One principle in particular made an impression on Brensinger: the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation’s statement known as the “Tyrol Declaration”. A short quote: “The quality of the experience and how we solve a problem are more important than whether we solve it.” This gave rise to the principle behind Nemo products: more quality, not more quantity.
