MSR Alpine Frying Pan

As do many high quality frying pans in regular kitchen use, the Alpine pan also boasts a heat-spreading aluminum plate at the bottom. The rest of the pan is stainless steel, for fantastic wear-resistance, durability and ease of use and cleaning.

Cooking with stainless steel can require a bit of practice. The material sears (and burns) food at a lower temperature than, say, cast iron and most nostick coatings. Temperature control and using enough fat helps avoid burning.
