Sturdy and supportive, non-membrane hiking boots.

Lundhags footwear has been a common choice for Nordic hikers for years. These Swedish-made boots are essentially shell boots: you wear two pairs of good, thick socks under them and as the boots have a minimal amount of moisture absorbing materials, they are easy to dry. The foot area is made of 100% waterproof Certech 3.0 cellular rubber mix, and the shaft is made of high grade Heinen Terracare leather.

The structure offers a fully waterproof lower, with a somewhat water repellent upper.

Shoes up to and including size 40 come with women’s Opti last, sizes 41 and upwards come with men’s Opti last.

  • Midsole with high torsional rigidity - suitable for long days with a heavy backpack in difficult terrain
  • Padded top of shaft
  • Vibram Traction out sole
  • A 6 mm thick EVA midsole
  • TPU toe cap
  • Shaft height: 22 cm

Invest a bit of time into breaking your new Lundhags shell boots in - do not set off on a long hike without this breaking-in period.

Care of Lundhags shell boots: Clean the boots regularly from loose dirt and dry them at room temperature – also remove the insoles to dry after use. Treat the shaft parts with wax or grease for water repellency when you see that the leather requires care. This is not done on new boots – the first treatment should be after about 100 km of use (depending on conditions). Do not wax or grease “just in case” / too often, so that the seams do not stay wet and the leather does not start to “bag” / lose its natural properties (as the warranty cobbler puts it). The waterproof lower part is not treated with any product – cleaning is enough. Replace insoles and laces when necessary.

Register your Lundhags shell boots according to the instructions included in the shoe box – this way you will have a warranty covering manufacturing and material defects, with no time limit. Note! Lundhags handles warranty cases based on whether the boots have been maintained according to the care instructions – and this will indeed show on the boots over time.
