Hiking stories from the Nordics and beyond: in-store event

Ever wondered what actually happens on a hike? How does everyday life work out there? Does everything always go to plan? What goes through a hiker's mind, and what kind of memories does a hike leave you with?

At our Hiking Stories in-store evening, three of our outdoor experts share their stories. All three hikes were very different. During the evening, you'll hear what it's like to set out on your first hike, whether you can hike closer to home or always need to head to Lapland, and what it's like to hike on the other side of the world.

Dates and registration:
10 Nov – Pirkkala, 8–10 pm, Veska Shopping Centre – sign up here
11 Nov – Turku/Raisio, 8–10 pm, Kuninkoja – sign up here
12 Nov – Helsinki, 8–10 pm, Forum Shopping Centre – sign up here

The event is free. We'll serve coffee, tea and light snacks during the evening.

Each event has room for only the first 50 people to sign up, after which the registration page closes automatically. We don't send a separate confirmation message. Bring your own kuksa or mug to help us cut down on disposable cup waste.

Arrive in good time, as we'll close the doors shortly after 8 pm.

Tonight's speakers:

I'm Iida and I work as a sales assistant at our Kuninkoja store while finishing my final year of a business degree in sales. At the club evening, I'll talk about the Fjällräven Classic Sweden trek in August, which was my first long-distance hike.

I'm Johanna and I also work at our Kuninkoja store. This spring, I wanted to do a hike close to Southern Finland so I wouldn't lose time travelling. I looked for a route with easy public transport access at both ends, so I set off on the Ilvesreitti (Lynx Trail) from Riihimäki towards Forssa.

My name is Caj and I work in the Scandinavian Outdoor marketing team. Over the New Year, I spent seven weeks adventuring in Tasmania and New Zealand. I'll give a brief overview of both countries and share one packrafting story from each.
