Since 1936

Marius Pedersen got the idea for industrial down cleaning while watching his wife Saima wash feathers in the couple’s sauna cauldron. What began as a hobby grew into a business that soon employed the entire family. The company was named Suomen Höyhen (Finland’s Feather). In 2005, the name was changed to Joutsen Finland, where Joutsen is the Finnish word for swan.
