These shoes are the most sustainable of the Icebug shoes. The upper is made from silver rated (LGW) leather and high felted shaft from Woolpower’s scrap wool. The long medial zipper and the loop on top of the shaft makes the shoes easy to put on. The fleece lining keeps your feet warm. The shoes are equipped with 14 carbide steel studs which perform differently in various surfaces. On the soft ground the studs will go into the ground, on a hard surface the studs will partly retract into the rubber sole and the grip comes mainly from the rubber sole. On a hard and uneven surface, like when walking on the rocks, the grip is coming partly from the studs and partly from the rubber sole.

• The upper leather is silver rated leather (rated by Leather Working Group Ltd).
• The felted shaft and insole are made from the Woolpower®’s scarp merinowool. It’s minimum of 50 % merinowool. The merinowool is mulesing free and produced in South Africa. Woolpower®-material contains lots of air, which insulates well in the cold weather. Moreover, merinowool functions also when moist and it’s naturally antibacterial, so these shoes feel comfortable all the time.
• The fleece lining is made fulfilling the Bluesign®-standard’s criteria. It’s dyed using Solution Dye -technic which uses less water and energy than traditional dying methods.
• The insole is made from Bloom™ Sport material which consists 20% of bloom algae foam.
• The rubber outsole contains 20% recycled rubber.

Studded shoes are not meant to be used indoors. Special caution must be exercised when walking on floors made from soft materials, such as on wood floors.

Note! As opposed to product images, some Icebug shoes have small, colourful dots in the sole material, due to the recycled material used in them.
