Rugged and stable trekking shoes for men.
Full of tradition and Hanwag quality, the Nazcat shoes are made for tough going. A wide rock guard and durable leather material make for longevity. In the ABCD stiffness classification system the Nazcat scores a solid BC, making it suitable for carrying a backpack in rough terrain. Their mid soles are stiff enough and their ankle support rigid enough to help your feet through days on end. This class is, however not nearly as restrictive as D category shoes, and the Nazcat can be used in lighter use as well, such as weekend and day trips.
Unlike in the first generation Nazcat, this version II has a cuff made of strong textile instead of leather - this makes the feel more comfortable.
These boots have been designed and made to last, by careful choice of materials and detailed structure design. Metal lace hooks and top quality leather predict a long service life - and if you manage to walk through the first soles or the midsole reaches the end of its service life, this model can be resoled.
The polyurethane midsole benefits from regular use - do not leave your boots unused for extended amounts of time. Regular use keeps the polyurethane in good condition!

The surface is treated with wax and spray care products. Of these, the wax has a longer life. We suggest you buy at least the spray with the boots. It’s easy to see when the treatment loses its power: just step into a puddle. If the water beads beautifully on the material, things are fine. If, however, the leather gets wet quickly, it’s time for a spray.
