Halti is a Nordic outdoor brand that designs and develops clothing, footwear and equipment for outdoor activities, hiking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and an active leisure life. Founded in 1976, Halti’s products are designed for the varying weather conditions of the north and for year-round use.

Halti’s story began with hiking equipment. Founder Juhani “Jussi” Hyökyvaara set out to develop practical gear for Nordic hikers. Over the years, the range has grown from tents, sleeping bags and backpacks to outdoor clothing, footwear and cross-country and downhill skiwear.

In the north, the weather and conditions can change quickly. That’s why Halti’s design is built around functionality, comfort and purposeful details. Products are developed in Finland, drawing on 50 years of accumulated experience in the outdoors and the demands of the different seasons.

For the outdoors, year-round

In Halti’s range you’ll find products for the outdoors close to home, for hiking and active movement, and for winter activities and leisure. Pallas is one of Halti’s best-known product lines. The line’s stretchy, versatile outdoor garments are designed for moving across different terrains and in varying weather conditions.

Halti’s cross-country and downhill skiwear combines protection designed for northern winter conditions with comfort and sport-specific details. The range also includes outdoor and leisure footwear as well as tents, sleeping bags, backpacks and other hiking equipment.

Ready for varying weather conditions

DrymaxX® is Halti’s waterproof, windproof and breathable weather-protection technology, which has been developed for northern conditions since 1995. The different DrymaxX® constructions provide weather protection suited to the purpose, whether for everyday outdoor use, hiking or winter activities.

How Halti products are made

From the outset, Halti’s products have been developed together with outdoor enthusiasts, athletes and professionals from various fields. Products and materials are tested in laboratories as well as in real-world conditions. The experiences and feedback gathered from use help improve the products’ performance, fit and details.

Products are manufactured in several different countries with long-standing partners. Halti sets requirements for its suppliers regarding product quality, chemical safety, working conditions and animal welfare, and monitors that these are met as part of its supply chain management.
