Helsingin villasukkatehtaan Wool socks - High quality wool socks. Made with machines made in the 1950’s in a small factory free of mobile phones and other modern nonsense, these wool socks serve the same purpose as they always have: bringing you lots of cozy warmth and comfort.

To create the perfect user experience and a long service life, this sock is made with a blend of three different sheep type’s wool, each from New Zealand, and guaranteed mulesing-free. The polyamide component, again, increases durability.

• Hand washing is preferable, but 30°C machine wash is also possible

“Grey” and “Dark grey” color options are identical, just the color name is different.

What does “Helsingin villasukkatehdas” mean, you might ask. That stands for “Helsinki’s wool sock factory”.

Wool is a highly hygroscopic animal fiber - it can absorb up to 30 - 40% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet. As it absorbs water, it releases warmth. Thanks to this and its natural ability to bind in warm air, wool offers an excellent set of characteristics for use especially in cold conditions.

One of Shepherd’s best-selling models, the Hugo makes hanging out indoors enjoyable even on slightly chilly floors: The leather itself is soft but durable, and it molds to the shape of your foot. Your foot rests on a comfortable layer of EVA foam, which is familiar for many as a shock-absorbing foam in running shoes.
