A headlamp for trail running etc. - use with the included battery or AAA cells.

When your trip is long and there’s no chance to recharge, it’s handy to be able to remove the drained battery and pop in three AAA batteries instead (not included). A special feature of this headlamp is its two different white-light modes: a warmer, eye-friendly light that shows contrast well, and a more neutral white light with greater range.

As the “V2.0” in the product name suggests, this is the second generation of the lamp, with improved output and usability. Each light type has its own push-button switch. The red light can be easily activated by double-pressing either switch. Brightness levels can be quickly changed with a short press.

  • Lightweight yet strong polycarbonate body
  • Three lighting modes: warm white (good detail rendering), cool white (longest beam), and red (preserves night vision, doesn’t attract insects)
  • Rechargeable battery, 1900 mAh
  • USB-C charging port
  • Safety slide switch
  • Twist adjustment on the headband
  • Integrated emergency whistle in the headband – a mandatory safety item in many ultra-distance races
  • LED indicator for battery status
  • Memory function for the last used mode
  • Overheat protection
  • IP66 rated: dustproof, withstands powerful water jets
  • Package includes: HL18R-T V2.0 headlamp, ARB-LP-1900 Li-Ion battery, USB Type-C charging cable, user manual

Note: ANSI-standard runtimes are measured as the time it takes for light output, at 20 °C, to drop to 10% of its original brightness.

All Fenix flashlights are tested in their own laboratory according to the American ANSI/FL1 standard. The HL18R-T V2.0 headlamp has a five-year Fenix quality warranty (battery one year).

More about the light modes:

Warm White (approx. 3000 K, CRI 80): Better contrast in wet and foggy weather – helps see terrain shapes better in rain or mist. More natural lighting – easier on the eyes, especially during long training sessions. Reduced glare – less reflection from snow, fog, and rain.

White (approx. 6000 K):Sharper, brighter light – better detail recognition, especially on technical trails. Greater range – brighter, more powerful beam reaches further. Suitable for fast-paced movement – helps you react quickly to changes in terrain.

Red light: Preserves night vision – eyes adapt back to darkness faster, useful during breaks. Less disruptive to others – great for group movement or rest stops. Attracts fewer insects – less appealing to bugs than white light.
