Devold Expedition – double-layer, merino wool base layer designed for extreme warmth. When the Expedition series was tested by Retki magazine in an extensive base layer comparison, it took first place. A full five campfires out of five – the test team found nothing to improve about the Devold Expedition.

Merino wool garments made for cold conditions are exceptionally warm and functional even when damp. Unless completely soaked, the base layer can often be dried simply by wearing it after arriving at camp. Merino wool requires less washing than synthetic fabrics and naturally resists odor build-up.

Did you know? Regular sheep’s wool fibers have a scaly surface structure, while merino fibers are much smoother. That’s why even those who usually find wool itchy often find merino wool products pleasantly soft against the skin.

Take good care of your Merino apparel - regular detergents are a bit over the top for use with wool, so we recommend using Nikwax Wool Wash, regardless of whether you wash your apparel in a machine or by hand.
