For 2024, Craghoppers updated the active ingredient in their insect protection treatments to lemon eucalyptus oil (a biocide), which is more environmentally friendly than previous ones, and also adds anti-odour properties. The treatment reduces the amount of insects landing on and staying on the fabric surface.

The active ingredient complies with European biocide product regulation 528/2012/EU. It is certified by ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) at level 1, and the manufacturer is seeking certification for level 3.

Craghoppers takes sustainability seriously. The manufacturer has used more than 100 million recycled plastic bags for making fabrics since 2015, and deploys traceability, corporate responsibility and takes part in social impact programs.
