The Blizzard Thunderbird R15 82 is the widest ski in Blizzard’s frontside lineup, designed primarily for groomed slopes, but its width also allows it to perform well in softer snow conditions. The ski’s full camber and solid construction make it a stiff, responsive carving ski.

The ski’s core is built for high-speed performance: it’s very firm under the binding area, thanks in part to the Active Armor reinforcement, and becomes progressively more flexible toward the tips. The construction layers include an impressive stack of materials: starting from the top surface — carbon fiber, fiberglass, Titanal, fiberglass, wood core, Titanal, and another layer of fiberglass. The ABS sidewalls complete the responsive feel.
