The Evac Drybag uses two different fabrics: the main material is 70 denier Nylon with a 10 000 mm hydrostatic head, and the bottom is made of eVent membrane material. The latter allows for air to pass, despite being waterproof, thus enabling you to squeeze extra air out of the bag without a need for a valve. The manufacturer recommends you to squeeze the air out after packing it with apparel or, for instance, a sleeping bag, and then immediately placing it in your backpack or pannier, with all your other gear, so it won’t start sucking air in again.
