Karttakeskus Kaldoaivi Utsjoki Iijärvi

The western part of the Kaldoaivi wilderness map on waterproof paper.

Topo maps are folded terrain maps of Finland printed on waterproof and non-tear material. The maps withstand heavy use and folding and do not wear out. The basic material is the National Land Survey’s terrain database, and the data content corresponds to traditional paper terrain maps. Printed 2022, size 100 x 70 cm, scale 1:50 000. The area distribution of the topo maps is adapted to the needs of the hiker. In addition, deserted and reserved areas are marked on the maps with symbols. The topo map is the best choice for those areas of Lapland that are popular with hikers, fishermen and hunters, where no outdoor maps have been published and where you have had to obtain several traditional terrain maps to get around. The two-sided map sheet Kaldoaivi Utsjoki Iijärvi 1:50 000 covers the western part of the Kaldoaivi wilderness area on the Utsjoki River east of Nelostie. The map shows the church village of Utsjoki, Nuorgam and the top of Iijärvi Näätämöjoki. To the south is also part of the Sammuttijängä – Vaijoenjängä marsh conservation area. The area has gentle mountain plateaus, extensive bogs and mountain birches. The area is home to fishermen, reindeer herders and mountain bikers.
