In the bikepacking version of the popular Hubba Hubba tent, the pole sections are only 30 cm long, and the tent packs down to just 36 x 17 x 11 cm. This makes it easy to carry even on the handlebars of bikes with drop bars. And of course, such a compact size is beneficial even if you pack it in traditional panniers, a backpack, or the cargo hold of a kayak. The transport bag is waterproof and has taped seams. Spacers are included, creating room between the handlebar and the tent for the bike’s cables. In fine weather, the inner tent can also be set up on its own. While even lighter tents exist, the tent fabrics are in the ultralight category, and a bit of exctra care in use is advisable: avoid sharp objects and wet setup locations even more than when using a regular tent.
